maybe a long shot but...
Does anyone know of any Social Studies or Special Ed. openings for next year?
I'm certified in Social Studies 5-12 and Special Ed. 5-12.
I LOVE teaching so much...I couldn't imagine going a year (or longer) without being able teach. I figured I might as well ask in case anyone has heard anything in their school or district.
I'm located in Nassau but I'm willing to commute to Western Suffolk or Queens.

I *think* we might need a Special Ed teacher because one is retiring. My school is a middle school in Astoria. Once I hear for sure, I'll get back to you.

Not sure where you currently work, but the hiring freeze for NYC is still in effect. Good luck!

If she is Special Ed certified she can still get hired. There is no freeze for Special ed.

Check Connetquot CSD...it's in Suffolk but im pretty sure there are some special ed positions~
