Make ahead meals you can freeze for those "first few days"?
Im trying to figure out what i could make that i could freeze, DH will need a couple meals while i am in the hospital and then for the first days home we will need some too. Any idea what to make that i can freeze and just throw in the oven when needed? Can i use those aluminum disposable trays?

When I had my DD my friends made me (for freezing)
Baked Ziti Sausage and Peppers Chicken Parm Vegetable Lasagna Meatballs
(Can you tell we are also Italian LOL)
Make sure you freeze them in individual containers so you dont have to eat and entire pan of one thing over a few days!!

also italian but I would love some non-baked pasta suggestions since it'll be hot summer when the baby is born.

Yes it does. You can make cold pasta salad too that is good in fridge for several days. And theres always the BBQ- thats our plan!

thanks! I don't think i've ever frozen it before, so I wasn't sure.
we don't have a bbq unfortunately; we're in an apartment. pasta salads are a good idea, and bean salads.

With DD, people made me the following:
Baked ziti Pepper Steak Chicken Marsala
I've also thought about Quiche Macaroni and Cheese Barbequed Chicken (add bbq sauce to heat up)
I'm going to consult a few of my cookbooks for some more ideas..

I bought some things from uncle giseppi's and froze them! Had all intentions of making dishes but ran out of time.
