Musty smell in crawl space
In our old house. I just got back and the crawl space has a musty smell. No sign of any wetness. We felt the carpet, the crawlspace everything is dry. Why is this happening and how can I get rid of the smell???? Our realtor thinks its bc the season has been very wet so it's just absorbing the humidity and thats what it is..well if it is then how do we get rid of the smell!??!?!

It's possible there was a hole in roof and water got in.
Or a decaying animal.

not really bc its under the living room so water couldn't have gotten in from there and an animal I'm having DH look for one but I don't see how one could have come in to be honest

It's probably due to all the wet weather we have been having and the house being closed up....
Yup this is my thinking as well..the ground is so saturated I was thinking the same thing!
