Low first beta success stories?
Hi girls- I had my first beta today at 13dp3dt or 16 dpo. It came back at 26.7. I know this is very low and I am preparing myself for the worst news on friday. Just wondering if anyone else had a first beta that low and went on to have a healthy pregnancy. I am crushed right now and contemplating leaving work.

Re: Low first beta success stories?
ok so i tried researching..it seems the betas could be different at that point, the number may seem a bit low but the important part is seeing what the next beta says...hang in there, try not to worry about it too much...

Re: Low first beta success stories?
Oh no, please don't be so worried!!! Although I've never had a beta, I know that the actual number doesn't matter much - all that matters is that it increases at an appropriate rate.
Did your doctor say the beta was too low?

Re: Low first beta success stories?
My beta was 27 at 13dpiui and my progesterone was very low, too - 11. My RE didn't have much hope, and I was devastated, but little by little, the beta went up, and I'm now 29 weeks with a baby boy, all my sonos and blood tests have been just fine. Don't lose hope, although I know how difficult it is.
betabase.info was a helpful website for me

Re: Low first beta success stories?
I spoke to the nurse and all she said was that it was very low. All I can do is wait for Friday, but I am not very hopeful

Re: Low first beta success stories?
My beta after an FET was 25 at 14dpo. My prgoesterone was 3. I was CERTAIN it was over, told the nurse I didn't even want to start PIO. Luckily she insisted because I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow! I had 2 chemicals right before this pregnancy and both numbers were MUCH higher to start so the first number doesn't mean much. Keeping my fingers crossed you have some nice doubling numbers

Re: Low first beta success stories?
So my second beta was only 38... Looks like a chemical pregnancy. Thanks for your prayers and kind words. Hopefully I can join you ladies soon! On to IVF #2!
