BFP after FET medicated cycle but low progesterone

So Beta came in at 186 9dp3dt and progesterone 7.5. Doc is switching me to PIO , 1 cc a day. Im freaking bc this seems low....lowest I have ever had....but I've never done ivf or FET for pregnancy....maybe it can get thrown off. Any opinions or words of advice?

Have heard this can be off due to suppositories...never had issue with progesterone in any nonmedicated cycle..maybe the suppositories just werent working for me....

Mine was 3 after my FET (natural cycle, wasn't on any meds at the time). I started PIO and now I'm 28 weeks along. My beta was also only 25 so you're #'s look great to me!! CONGRATS

After my FET my progesterone was low - I think 13 - b/c I was using suppositories. My doc quickly switched me to PIO and my levels rose. For my fresh cycle I started with PIO and my levels were much higher. I have heard that PIO is absorbed much better than suppositories but for some reason many docs prefer starting with them for FETs. Good luck and Congrats!!!

Thanks I am so worried....doc doesn't want to see me until Fri....I did pio myself today and am praying it kicks up....I'm spotting brown a bit,had one bright bleed but nothing really big....freaking me out bc I keep think my progesterone must be too low still.....trying to hold out hope!

My RE told me that the level of progesterone is actually higher at the cervix/uterus than the blood levels indicate on the suppositories. He said the by the time it is absorbed by the blood, the level decreases. I have also heard from another RE that progesterone levels fluctuate throughout the day. One more thing, my RE also said that a lot of women have low progesterone suppositories after a FET/IVF cycle and have to add the PIO back in. Hope some of that helps!

I would think with a FET your progesterone would naturally be low. You did not ovulate, so you don't have a corpus luteum that is giving off the progesterone. 7.5 is not awful by any means. Now that you are doing the PIO I think you will be fine....congrats!!!

I just wanted to congratulate you on your BFP! I also got pregnant with an FET and I had to do PIO until my 10th Week of pregnancy to keep my progestorone levels up.

Congratulations! I've been doing PIO since my IVF cycle but I requested it.
