Re: What is a chemical pregnancy
A chemical pregnancy is (and someone correct me if I am wrong) an EXTREMELY early detected pregnancy that ends early on. Nowadays with the tests being so sensitive we can detect chemical pregnancies. Years ago you wouldn't have even known you were pregnant as your period would have come as expected. That's why most of the time its better to wait to test until AF is late.

Yes... most women who dont test early might not even know that they were pregnant... or if they waited a few days after AF was due it would just seem like a late AF

Re: What is a chemical pregnancy
From what my doc told me it is a loss of a early pregnancy before u have a gestational sac. I have never made it past 5 weeks and it was both a positive hpt then next day beta which was only like 11 or a few weeks later where I bled and my beta was higher and had to wait for it to go down
I'm sure if u were not ttc u might not know..if u r u could prob tell...I knew right away cause it was diff kind of bleeding and it lasted longer
Sometimes on this board the term chemical gets tossed around too much..jmo

Re: What is a chemical pregnancy
My interpreation of it was when there is enough hcg hormone to detect pregnancy, but the fertilized egg, doesn't stick or implant, so the AF comes to begin a new cycle for conception.
