OMG... this is so sad and it hits way too close to home... the pharmacist graduated from my HS 10 years before me and now she's an LIW bride???

And well, this sort of makes me reconsider EVERYTHING i've ever posted on LIW.... not that I'm going to be arrested for some heinous crime, but as much as we all know it could technically happen it's just shocking to see posts quoted in a news article!

. ITA!! This is a totally public site. You always should have that in the back of your mind. Some posters put waaaay too much info out there ie: pics of their kids with the town they live and the schools they send them to. You should always think before you hit send! You just don't know who is reading everything...JMO

i am an infrequent poster for this reason. I often think what are some people thinking. I mean there have been people on here that i pretty much feel like I know everything about them, down to where they live! There is a poster on here that is a neighboor of a relative and although i have never met or spoken to her, i feel like i know all her buisness. Its so akward and i just want to tell her stop posting all these personal things!! You never know who is reading them. It can also be so dangerous. Especially when people post pics of thier kids and then talk about where they go to school etc. Who know what nut jobs are lurking these boards!

same here. people on here write to each other as if it's a private conversation with their "friends". the problem is, hundreds or thousands of other people are reading it and looking at the pics even if they're not responding. i'll never understand it. people put up personal things about themselves, their families, and their teachers. (teachers read this site too! it's not hard to figure out a colleague being spoken about when the district name is mentioned...people don't think about that!)
i hope someone on here did alert the media to the LIW posts.

I agree. I was wondering if they'd find it. If you google searched her or anything, no LIW info came up, so I feel like someone had to have told the media.
funny that this comes up today. I got an email EARLY this morning from newsday or something to that effect... they were asking to email any information anyone had on him. there was also contact information on it... an asian woman's name, i assume she's a reporter.
I just deleted the email though as I went through 700 emails on my BB.

This is nuts... Newsday made a reference to her posts on LIWeddings too. I used to read her posts all the time as a fellow '09 bride and I always thought there was something off about her. She would very easily get nasty when someone would give advice that she didn't want to hear and she was always b*tching about her inlaws and being in pain.
