prescribed prenatals
i think this question might've been asked many times but are any of you ladies taking a prescribed prenatal that you like? i've previously been given citranatal and prenate samples but some of these are so expensive! is one really that much better than the other or un-prescribed prenatals?

Re: prescribed prenatals
I recently bought prenatals from CVS and they go down smoothly. :) My OB checked my prenatals to make sure I was getting sufficient (essential ) vitamins and my OTC had higher (dosage?) of the folic, B vitamins, Calcium and Iron than the prescription pre natals.

Re: prescribed prenatals
I take the prenatal gummies from target (same as the vita fusion, actually switch back and forth depending what is on sale). Dr. said the OTC prenatals are just fine!

Re: prescribed prenatals
I take prescribe pre-natals. Ob Natal One. My dr prescribed these when I was pregant and I just keep having it refilled. I never had a problem with them. I order them online through Caremark and a 3 month prescription is $40 (I think).

Re: prescribed prenatals
I'm using Natures Bounty. I used an over the counter brand previously and had no issues. Doc gave me some samples, but they're these huge chewable things, but the percentage of what I need (ie folic acid) match, so I'm sticking with these.

Re: prescribed prenatals
I started off with Walmart prenatals then I got prescription prenatals (just reg. ones) they got me constipated so I went with the Vitafusion gummies prenatal.. LOVE THEM!

Re: prescribed prenatals
i just got 4 different samples from my ob to try & decide which i like the best. prior to that i used one a day prenatals, that made me nauseous, stuart natal and one from whole foods - all over the counter. my ob said it's very important to have one with dha in it (or dhea, i forget now lol)
