Everything happens for a reason?????
I always believed that everything does happen for a reason, but i find myself constantly trying to look for the "reason" for my miscarriage. The timing would have been ideal in so many aspects of my life. I just don't get it. Vent over..just feeling sad again today.

Re: Everything happens for a reason?????
I used to believe this...I really did. I no longer do. I know that for some people, it gives them peace and makes them feel better. I'm not one of those people though...I used to get very angry when people would say this to me after our loss. Because I don't think that I will ever be able to accept that there was a reason...
So if you ever really question the "reason" behind your loss, I'm right there with you...

the only way this is comforting is that there was a reason i miscarried because there was something wrong and my body knew it...

Same here. Other than this I find no comfort in the saying, "everything happens for a reason" I only believe that there was something truly wrong with the baby and my body was doing what it should have done. Im sorry again...its something that is really hard to go through

Re: Everything happens for a reason?????
I find it impossible to find a reason for my losses. I hope to one day have healthy children who I would not have had if my losses did not take place... and I'm sure then, it will seem like there was a reason for everything that happened, but of course I don't know from experience

Re: Everything happens for a reason?????
I've had three devastating losses and do believe "everything happens for a reason". If I didn't have my first two losses, I wouldn't have my DD. And as heartbroken as I was when it happened, in hindsight I know I ended up with the baby I was meant to have.
ETA: I do hate when people say that as an attempt to console someone else, but it is a philosophy I believe in.

Re: Everything happens for a reason?????
Honestly, I always hated this philosophy and it really got to me after my losses. When people would give me that 1/2 smile and say, "everything happens for a reason."
I dont believe there is a reason for everything, I believe sometimes shittty things happen to good people.
I cant believe there is a reason for miscarriages or DWI deaths, children dying of cancer..... etc

Re: Everything happens for a reason?????
yeah i just wanna barf when someone tells me this...
i mean yeah i mc'd bc the baby had a problem...but why did the baby have to have a problem? why do i have infertility? why this why that.
i mean alot of thing in life we can look back and have hindsight about....but i agree with some of the other posters...that i cannot see god's reason for children dying/being killed/murdered and things like that. i cant imagine if your child lets say died at age one or something..that someone would have the ballz to smile and say god must have a reason! i just dont get it!
