Girls that got their membranes stripped?
I'm 3 days past my dd, and this morning at my appt, my midwife stripped my membranes, I'm also 3 cm dialated and 80% effaced?! Anyway, girls that had this done, how long was it until you actually went iinto labor?
... I'm so confused they still had me schedule an induction date of Aug 8 too

It didn't really hurt for me... (hurt less than a pap and was over very quickly)
From online what it means:
The doc just uses their hand (finger) and scraps around your cervix to release prostaglandons to help soften your cervix- its a mild procedure to induce labor, the softer your cervix is the better you benefit.

i started contracting on the way home from my visit. i had dd the next morning, but with the help of a little pitocin.

I went into labor hours after i got my membranes stripped for me it hurt like He** I hope baby comes soon

I had this done when I was 4 days overdue. I went into early labor about 8 hours later. Delivered DC about 48 hours later.
