Nursery School-- What do you need?

My first is starting Nursery school in September and I wanted to know what do they need, like...

Do they need school supplies?

Sorry this might be a dumb question, but how much clothes to buy?

...and anything else you would like to share.

edited to add: I meant to write Nursery school. Or is it the same thing Preschool and Nursery school? Anyway he's only 3 years old--sorry for the confusion.

At our preschool, we already received a list of supplies...we don't bring in pencils, crayons, etc. but wipes, paper towels, tissues, cups, snacks, juice to be used by the class. We then contribute 2 other months out of the year to replenish the snacks, juice, etc.

My DD is also starting preschool in September. We received a letter from the school saying that she will need an art smock and a backpack to fit projects, but I think those were the only supplies mentioned. We are also attending an orientation night before school begins so they should be giving us more information at that time. Does your school do something similar?
