High Calcium Level/Hyperparathyrodism

Is anyone familiar with this? If so any information would be helpful. TIA

I don't know a lot, but I do know that my great uncle passed away at a very young age from complications directly related to having too much calcium in his body. That was back in the 70's, and I also know that there are now ways to prevent the detrimental effects, so I do also know that it's something to get checked out and treated, but no where near as serious as it was back then.
