coming home outfit - side snaps?
I've read that for the first few days, until the umbilical cord comes off.. the baby can't wear onesies, but needs to wear the little t-shirts with the side snaps on them to avoid rubbing against the cord.
is this true? if so, then does that mean we can't put him in a onesie and pants to bring him home?
we're having trouble figuring this out

no, you can still use onsies. We did and never heard otherwise

the diapers covered his umbilical stump from day 1, he didn't wear any side snap outfits at all.

We never even owned any sidesnap shirts! He always wore onesies and had no issues.
