Commuting? Tolls?
NYC DOE employees who commute and have to pay tolls to get to work- is there anything that the DOE offers to help pay for the expenses like the commuter card?
It's getting to be SOOOOO much - $13 a day for DH and with DD in daycare this September, we are looking to save anywhere possible!

I have been doing this for 5 years now... its a little cheeper with e z pass i pay about 10 a day

Can you carpool with someone? I know that has its disadvantages but it can save a lot- for my first three years I carpooled with 4 other women and one of them didn't drive at all so she paid the tolls every day. Even if you go with one person it makes a difference- I can't believe how expensive it's become!
