party planning help

My DD christening is next week and we are having the party at a DIY hall. I am clueless when it comes to how much beer/wine/soda we should buy. Can you please suggest how much beer/wine/soda we should get for 60 ppl (50 adults, 10 kids) TIA

id say you kinda need to know your audience. for example, my side of the family is big beer drinkers, and most of our friends like beer and red wine. i would only do a few bottles of white since i know it wouldnt be used. do you have a lot of family members who dont drink? is it during the day or evening? that will also help gauge how much drinking will be taking place, as earlier in the day will usually mean less drinking.
i might do about 5-7 cases of beer (24 pk) and 5-8 large bottles of wine. 10-12 bottles of soda. i may be off but i host a lot of parties and this is prob what i would do... adjust for your guest list. worst case scenario, it wont go bad!
