non ttc --- dont know where else to turn

As I type this I am in a hospital room in North Carolina --- I found out on Monday afternoon that my mom has lung cancer and I flew here on Tuesday.

It doesn't look good -- she has small cell lung cancer which is only caused by smoking *whicih she did her whole life much to my chagrin* and can not be operated on.

I am also in the 2ww think I am 4 or 5 DPO and really hope this is our month so my mom can meet a grandchild.

The outlook is maximum 2 years -- -down to 6 months.

I am only 31 and a only child so I hope she gets to see me get pregant (and stick lost a baby at 8w5d in april).

I am not a religious person but I believe in the power of positive thinking and that there is someting out there.... so I guess if anyone reads this all the way that you just keep me and my mom/dad in your thoughts.

OMG...I am so sorry I will keep you and your mom in my prayers. I hope you get your BFP and your mom can meet your LO!
