Has she been to the gyno or any doctor recently to talk about the weight gain?

It could be fibroids. My cousin (my age 33/34) supposedly looks preggo (I haven't seen her in years--she lives oos). She used to be super skinny. She has fibroids in her uterus, and the doctor wanted her to have surgery to remove them, and she refused for her own reasons. Well, from what I am told, they have been growing, and she now looks pregnant. My aunt says she looks at least 6 months pregnant. When I was preggo with my first and around 5-6 months, she told me my cousin looked more pregnant than me, and she wasn't pregnant.

When my Moms thyroid went bad she started to gain weight. Only in her belly and thighs. When I graduated HS almost 20 years ago, my friends kept asking me when she was due. She looked 8 months pregnant..It was bad. She went to the dr and they found out she had hypothyroidism. She went on medication and within a few months she was back to her normal weight.. Every once in a while, when her meds need to be tweaked, she will start to get that pregnant look.. She needs to have blood work done. Check her T3 and T4 levels..
