WW (or any diet) sucess w/little exercise?
Has anyone been successful in loosing weight on weight watchers with mostly diet? I'm thinking about joining today but can really only fit in two work outs a week (sun &mon). Is it going to work by mainly just counting points? Don't want to waste my money
I know "work" and "life obligations" are no excuse for not going to the gyn but right now I just can't find the time! And then as an african american working out frequently during the weektime like beforethe or after! Work means messed up hair all week!

Re: WW (or any diet) sucess w/little exercise?
I started WW February 4th, 2011.
Over the past 7 months, I have lost 50 LBS!!!!
That is with NO exercise at all.
But, now I really have to start exercising because the weight loss has stopped, and I want to lose a few more lbs.
I have surgery in 2 weeks (breast reduction), then after I recover, my vow is to do my Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD at least 4-5 times a week.

Re: WW (or any diet) sucess w/little exercise?
Exercise helps but is NOT necessary! I am in month 2 of the old WW points diet and I lost 9 pounds so far with no exercising. I'm sorry, I did the 30 day shred for 5 days but was gaining weight (muscle?) so once I hit my goal I will go back to exercising. My dad lost 45 pounds on WW just doing the diet and like 40 crunches a day.

Thanks!!
Do you cook normal and just adjust your portions or do you use their recipes? I'm going to sign up during lunch today. I wish just signing up meant instant loosing 5 lbs! But I'm sure if I'm strict this week i'll be able to drop a few lbs this month!

Re: WW (or any diet) sucess w/little exercise?
Honestly...all I changed were my portions...and I cut out most junk.
I have to cook for my DH and kids too, so I couldn't go that drastic with our dinners.
We are Italian, so pasta is HUGE in my family...at least 4 times a week...made all different ways.
Pasta is my WEAKNESS!! But I bought these ladles from WW and each scoop is 1 cup. For dinner, I give myself 2 scoops (2 cups) with sauce and a HUGE salad. Totally filling!!
I cut out sweets, but will have a little something once in a while.
I eat a lot of fruit. A lot of salad. Some veggies (I'm not a big fan but I do like string beans with balsamic and red onion).
Honestly...I don't feel deprived or starving ever. I am not "strict" with myself. I don't track my points, but I just keep a general idea in my head. I don't attend meetings...honestly, the compliments I've been getting are inspiration enough.
I hover between 48-51 lbs lost at any given day.
I am really so proud of myself because I am thisclose to 38 years old, have 2 active kids and a very busy daily schedule. I honestly just woke up one day and said, "damn...I HAVE to lose weight."
That was it. I never looked back.
What worked for me as far as food goes is:
Eat chicken...baked in the oven with a little bit of breadcrumbs. Load up on fruit, salad, veggies. Eat smaller portions of pasta Stay away from fried foods, fast food (though I do eat pizza here and there) Stay away from cake, cookies, etc...
I like all the Special K products as well as Fiber1.
My diet "tricks" are not for everyone, but they worked for me.
Good luck!

Re: WW (or any diet) sucess w/little exercise?
It depends on how much weight you have to lose. Last year I lost 40 Lbs and DH lost 50 Lbs. All without excercise. The weight came out relativelly easy. We had a lot of weight to lose too.
