How soon after friend has a miscarriage would you wait to announce your pregnancy?

I'm 10 1/2 weeks with #2 and have already told family early. I want to get the word to my friends before I slip or someone on dopey Facebook.

A close friend in my mommy group just had a miscarriage at 5 weeks, over a week ago. It was her first try for DC #3.

I wanted to tell them this coming Monday at a playdate so everyone is together. Just hoping she'll be okay.

I've gotten PG news from friends days after I had a DNC and I was fine but I think I'm extra UNsensative to that kind of meant to be stuff so I was happy for them.

When I announced DC#1, a different friend just had a miscarriage (that i did not know about) and in another group, one friend cried because she'd been trying unsuccessfully (unbeknownst to the group). I've yet to announce to my friends to full on happy response.

Is there never going to be a perfect time so I should just stick to my plan? Or should I try to hold off another week?

If it's going to upset them, a week won't make a difference.
Do it when you feel comfy.

I don't think there is a "perfect" time.
Personally, and this is just me, I would tell her one on one before you tell the whole group. So she has time to work through the emotions she will feel in her time in private or with just you there with her.

Sorry to crash..perhaps pull her to the side or call her the night before to tell her so she can prepare - just in case this is something that may be diffciult for her...
