Forced hot air

Now that its a little cold in the house I have to consider turning on the heat. The kids get VERY cold. Their hands and feet are like ice.

What do you do to protect them from the vents? We have a livingroom on the smaller side and they tend to play around them and i'm afraid of them getting hurt.

Re: Forced hot air

What could hurt them from the vent? I would just reinforce them not to play around it

I would assume she means they could burn themselves on it. I just looked around online a little bit and the best recommendation I seemed to find was to replace your metal vent covers with plastic or wood ones so they won't be hot to the touch. Would that be a possibility? One thing I read said they sell them at Home Depot.

That's exactly what I mean! I decided to turn it on since they both seem to be coming down with colds. I'm surprised the guy that came tro babyproof didn't even suggest anything. I will have to look into the vent covers! Thanks.
