for those with hot air (gas) heat, what is your average monthly bill?
trying to come up with an estimate of my monthly costs....
anyone know how pricey hot air heat runs?? i have no clue...the cooking and dryer are electric (for now), although we would be looking to converting that to gas as well...

on average 150 - it does go up in the winter (I use the dryer more and the heat of course)
winter more like 200-250 a month summer about 100 a month
its hard for me to give you a good average because our meter is in the house so national grid needs to come in a read the meter (or I need to call in with the readind - but i never do) so each month is an esitimated price. This month National Grid got to come in and do a reading

I'm on balanced billing and it's around $100 a month. I have forced air heat, gas stove, dryer and water heater.

me too but it is $135.00 per month. I actually didn't have to pay this month because they recalculated my budget and I had a credit.

Re: for those with hot air (gas) heat, what is your average monthly bill?
We have forced air heat with natural gas. Our stove is electric and so is our dryer. During the summer, our bill is nominal (we do have a tankless hot water heater that runs on gas). In the winter months, our bill has been as high as $400 a month (once or twice), but we average about $200 or so - and I am home all day with the kids, so I tend to have the temp bumped up. If we weren't home all day, it would be programmed lower and save us a bit.

We have gas heat, cooking, hot water heater, and the clothes dryer. Our bill last month was $204. This has been the average bill all winter. Summer and fall was definitely less.

our gas bill spiked at around $600 in dec/jan and has gone down considerably since.
the one we got the other day was somewhere in the high $300's (hi-5)
in the summer, it should be pennies.
we don't do balanced billing.
