Anyone have a "non medical" miscarriage?
We found out we lost our peanut on Thursday. Went to the emergency room and was bleeding heavily - peanut had no heartbeat but my cervix was closed. I was supposed to be 9 weeks 4 days but I saw on the screen that peanut was only measuring 7 weeks 2 days.
They recommended I schedule a D&C but do to the holiday, I was unable to speak with my doctor and make an appointment until next week.
Today I had tremendous pain and bleeding and I saw peanut leave me. sorry so graphic. That was at 2 pm and by 6 pm I had no more cramps and just a medium amount of bleeding.
So my question is, has anyone else experienced a miscarriage naturally with no D&C or other medical intervention?
I will speak with my doctor on monday and of course go in to check everything out but just wondering of others experiences and if anyone didn't need the procedure.

I'm so sorry for your loss!!!
I had a non-medical mc. I started cramping heavily at about 5:00 p.m, on a friday night. A few hours later, it was over, I didn't need a d&c since everything came out that night.

Me. I had terrible cramps at around 8 weeks and passed everything. Two days later my sac was gone (saw on the sono) and numbers were dropping. Today (one week later) i am testing negative for hcg and well into a new cycle. After such a tough time I feel blessed that everything passed naturally. I hope this happens for u and I am soooo sorry.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I mc at 4-5 weeks and everything came out naturally. I started bleeding on a friday and couldn't get to the dr until Monday and by the time I went there was nothing in there. Hopefully everything works out for you. Good Luck!

I had 2 mc's where I had a D&c, and then I had a mc where I bled and everything came out, no need for a d&c. The dr will prob do a sono to confirm that everything is gone.

did you go to the ER? i had a lot of bleeding after i passed the sacs so i went to the ER and thats when i they told me i still had tissue left.... and gave me cytotec, after bleeding for a week and passing small to medium sized clots i went back for my follow up with my dr and she still had to schedule me for a d&c because there was still tissue left... that was 11 days after the natural m/c

I was in the ER on Thursday. My doc's office was closed and I wasn't sure what blood type I was so I was hoping there was a way to give me the shot (if I was RH negative, which turns out I am not).
They performed the sono and there was no heartbeat. I was bleeding heavily so they sent me home and told me to try to schedule a D&C.
On Friday, while I was home, it happened naturally. I guess it was lucky for me that it was pretty quick.
I had scheduled a D&C for sat but then they canceled because it turns out they don't accept my insurance.
So now I am waiting until tomorrow to speak with my doctor to determine the game plan. I am hoping I can just go to her office for a sono and them to tell me everything is gone.

Re: Anyone have a "non medical" miscarriage?
They should bring you in for an u/s and blood test. The u/s will show is all the tissue passed or if there is more that they will need to remove with a D&C. The blood test will show that your HCG levels are dropping.
I had a D&C for my first m/c and a natural m/c the second time. I then had blood tests weekly with the natural m/c until my #s went to 0.
Not to scare you because it was a freak thing, but my SIL had a natural m/c and they checked her blood one time after it and never did another u/s. Well, 6 weeks later she was still cramping and bleeding and they did an u/s and realized that there was a microscopic amount of tissue left that was keeping her HCG levels above 0 and causing the cramping. She then needed a D&C and was so upset to prolong the healing process. On a good note, two months after that D&C she got pregnant and will deliver a at the end of this month.
Good Luck!!
