does anyone remember that insane haunted house in the city
that someone was talking about on here last year? the reviews were nuts, they chain you up and they touch you. there was a whole thread on it.

Blackout Haunted House in NYC -- I was the one who actually went in 2009. 
Siiiiiiiiiiiick.
I don't know if they have changed it much but it definitely is an experience in terror.

I love haunted houses... but I think the rules of " YOU MUST WALK THROUGH ALONE" and the warning of "PHYSICAL CONTACT / SEXUAL and VIOLENT SITUATIONS" would completely freak me out !!

I just looked up the website. They have a 56 second video posted that just scared the cr*p out of me. At 4:20 in the afternoon. In my living room!
There is NO WAY I would make it through that. I seriously think I would have a heart attack.

When I went in 2009 it was the first year they did it for halloween.
I will say again, this is NOT a haunted house...it's 100% an experience of pure terror and mind f**king.
You go through 100% alone, no one is allowed to go with you and you wind up with a potato sack over your face and chained up to something while people just MESS with you in the first 5 minutes.
You have to be led around with the sack over your face and when you are nice and disorientated they take it off and you have to try and walk through the darkness, sometimes crawling.
The sexual aspect was that some guy at the end, who is all up in your face and touching you, had a giant schlong hanging from his dress. Looked like something from the porno stuff.

I am always in for a good scare. I'm not sure about this place though. It's way too intense for me, lol.
I am however concerned about the sexual/touching part. They can go about the whole scenario without actually touching and the person would get the "scare" out of it. There's no reason for the touching, etc. I mean who would actually want to do that to someone? Sexual predators/perverts!!! That's their way of getting free feels, etc. That part disgusts me. If they didn't touch you, I think would be more appealing to people. You just never know who they are?

They don't fondle you...it's just that in traditional haunted houses the actors forbidden from ever touching people at all.
In this one since there is a free range of them being allowed to grab at you or whatever, I think it amps up the fear level for people because you have no idea how they are going to do it and when.
They ways they grabbed, shook, or touched me when I went was not sexual at all...just creepy in a horror movie kind of way...which is exactly what they were going for and they succeed.
ETA: This particular haunted house is specifically NOT appealing to everyone and that's how they want it. They don't want people thinking it's going to be some silly house with a mechanical skeleton that pops out making noise with strobe lights....this is designed for people who love something different and really want to experience terror. That's why it's $50 and you go alone.

Ohhhhh... Here I am thinking these people are rubbing all over you. If they really don't "touch" you, then it sounds much better to experience, lol. It still sounds sick, but fun and scary at the same time. Still don't know if I'd be brave enough to do it, lol! Since they've been doing it for a few years now, they're even more "experienced" at doing it!
Thank you for clarifying that up for me, I was thinking the worst!
ETA: If you read the reviews, they're saying that people are getting violated and experiencing almost getting raped. IMO though, if it gets to that point it should not be in something like this.
I want to know what happens when they say violated??? How?
