Anyone hypothyroid ..get put on medication..
..and then have follow-up bloodwork that shows the thyroid is now functioning normally, but you STILL feel like $hit??
I was shocked when I found out my results came back in the normal range.
I told my doc I still feel like the worst I ever have in my life, and he said he'd up my dosage.
I'm so confused.

Re: Anyone hypothyroid ..get put on medication..
The normal range of TSH levels varies from lab to lab....
Some doctors wont even treat patients if their TSH level is below 10....
With that said....
Im symptomatic at anything more than 3. My Endo can argue with me until he's blue in the face..But I know my body. Under 3 and closer to 2 is the right level for me...
Up to dose..get those numbers down a bit more....you just might feel better.

I function and feel so much better on the higher side of normal. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms - You made need to increase your meds a little.

Have you checked your iron and b vitamins? I found that when the doctor said my thryroid was good but I felt yucky that sometimes it was because of that.

yes. i was diagnosed at 16 years old. my TSH ranges from 4-10 and I never feel normal.
there was even a period of time that i stopped taking synthroid because i really didnt see a difference.
even though my levels change, i never feel any differently, my weight doesn't change, non of my symptoms disappear.

Re: Anyone hypothyroid ..get put on medication..
I was JUST talking to my sister about this the other day. My TSH has been at 0.2 for a LONG time now, so I should be feeling wonderfully...but I still would PAY to be able to take a nap most days.
My sister recently found out that she's anemic. Her Dr. said that after giving birth, sometimes your system has depleted so much of its resources that it can't recover on its own. I think I'm going to go get tested, because I hate feeling like this. Something to think about.
