any moms on here have taken an alpha- blocker/beta-blocker medication?(Please don't move, this is kind of PR)
My dr just prescribed Carvedilol for me . I am supposed to start taking it tonight 1 a day. But I am afraid of the side effects since I have a 19month old and I am home alone with her all day. How bad were they? Did it make you dizzy and tired? what should I expect(I know everyone is different) Did you take it at night or in the morning? If you took it at night before bed did you wake up tired in the morning?
Thank you

I take a beta blocker it has no weird effects on me at all. I feel exactly the same as before (I am on the lowest dose of Toprol).

I take the same med but I take it in the morning and at night. I take it in the am after I eat something and at night before I go to bed. I did not have any side effects.

I was on one years ago and I have to say I did gain an INSANE amount of weight in a short period of time. So much they took me off of it.

Yeah I am supposed to start with one and go up to 2 a day. I hope I am as lucky, bc I've heard people having some crazy side effects from it and I'm just a little worried plus I don't tolerate meds very well at all, even the cold meds make me sick

I'm taking it for over a year. I was put on after I had DD. So far, no side effects.
