teachers eating schedule?
I'm having a little bit of a tough time with my eating schedule because lately I'm starving after school (more than usual)
6:45 - breakfast: egg whites and v8
10:00 - snack: almonds
11:00 - Lunch: 3 oz. protein, cucumbers, celery, grape tomatoes, 2 tbsp. hummus, string cheese
2:00 - chobani with fresh fruit
*this is where I'm having trouble bc i need to have another snack or two to hold me over, but then if I'm going to the gym i don't like to eat right before bc then i get a cramp.
6:30ish dinner: most school nights its a lean protein, mostly veggies, small portion of brown rice or potato
what do you do with your eating schedule? what are some other snacks i can incorporate into my diet and when?

Re: teachers eating schedule?
Here is my schedule:
Wake up 5:45..>I drink 2 large bottles of water before I even get to school.
I eat breakfast around 8:30. I have 2 pieces low carb french toast (made with egg whites) and 2 egg whites.
Lunch is at 12:30- Salad with 1/2 a low carb pita, 3 oz extra lean turkey burger and one pumpkin pancake.
Snack- between 3 and 4 Protein shake and a rice cake before my workout.
Dinner- 6-6:30 egg white omelette, salad and 1/2 of the pita from earlier.
Bedtime snack- 2 cheddar rice cakes with cottage cheese.
What is your teaching schedule like? What are the macros in the V8? I might try to do something other than that and you can break up those carbs and "save" some for later for your other snack.
Also you should ABSOLUTELY be eating within 30 minutes of hitting the gym. It an be light, but you need to have soemthing in your stomach for your workout. Even if its just a rice cake with some peanut butter or something.

LOL, I was going to post mine, but you two eat so much better than me it's embarrassing My "schedule" is granola bars in the car, and a sandwich, piece of fruit and some trail mix when I can find 2 seconds to eat during the day.

Maybe have some actual veggies in your egg whties? make it an omelette perhaps?
Then I would maybe have a small salad as a snack int he afternoon or a rice cake with cottage cheese.
I wouldn't be afraid to bump those meals up a bit too!

6:00 workout
7:30 corn muffin and coffee on the drive to work
10:00 piece of fruit and some nuts or a larabar or a yogurt
12:00 or 1:00 Lunch (depending on the day) salad or soup/chili or hodgepodge (just random items---lol---cold cuts rolled up, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 tomato, edamame, etc. whatever i grabbed in the morning that seemed to strike my fancy)
2:00 pretzels and string cheese or cottage cheese
6:00 Dinner---protein, veggies & starch (ex. spaghetti squash with sauce & mozz cheese, chicken stir fry with brown rice & veggies, sweet potato and black bean chili, grilled chicken with salad). Usually a glass of red wine
8:30/9:00 a cookie or a mini larabar and glass of water or tea

I buy most of my foods at the regular supermarket. The bread products I buy at either the diet shop in Ronkonkoma or purchase the pita's online. They are Joseph's Bakery Brand.
I make my own turkey burgers and pumpkin pancakes

Re: teachers eating schedule?
Maybe you should eat breakfast a little later? I know that some people say that you should eat first thing in the morning because it jump starts your metabolism, but for me, once I start eating I just get more hungry and want to eat more and never feel full.
I start my day with tea at 6 and then wait til I get to work at 8 to get a coffee. I usually eat fruit for breakfast around 9:30. Lunch is at 1:30 and I usually have soup or a sandwich. I bring pretzels for a snack and eat them around 3.
Maybe bring a snack like a fruit or pretzels to hold you over between lunch and the gym.
