I agree with dh. Whats the point of playing if youre not really the one playing? Its like theyre playing against the computer.
I agree. To me it takes the fun out of playing!

I think it's fine to make up words to see if they go through.. but using a word finder site is cheating in my opinion!! Sorry!

I think it's cheating. If you are using a site to help you play your letters, it's cheating. Never understood the point of playing that way. What's the point?

It's definitely cheating. I've built my word bank from playing other people. I don't think it's cheating to try different letters and see if it works when you hit submit.
Same here...and then I throw the word into my dictionary app to learn what it means (not that I actually remember the definition, but I can say that I am attempting to increase my vocabulary )

Re: Words with Friends disagreement with hubby...
My DH and I fight (disagree) about this all the time! I used the word finder on every move. He doesn't EVER use it. Then when he plays with outher people he can't understand why they get so many points..I told him it's because of the word finder but he doesn't think there are "that many cheaters out there." I thinkj it's fine to use it!

LOL Hate to say it, but I agree with your hubby... That would be cheating in my book too... Yes, I too experiment with letters on the board, but if I end up making a word this way, at least its because of my doing... Not a computer program
ITA. It's cheating in my book. I don't use it and I'd get annoyed if one of the people I played against used it.
