Taking newborns out of the house
I was just wondering when everyone took their newborns out of the house to a store, mall or restaurant? Thanks!!

I took DD out to stores, baby pics, and the mall once she got her first round of vaccines, 6 weeks.

2 weeks, once i was cleared to drive. I wouldn't take her to, say, the mall on black friday, but as long as it's not a crowded place, out we go! She will be 5w tomorrow.

I started taking out DD to my parents house around 3 weeks. But I didn't take her out into stores until 6 weeks.

I took DS everywhere right away.
I made sure nobody was touching him and he slept in his carseat basicaly the entire time.

DS 1 was at hte mall by 4 weeks.
DS2 was at stores by 1 week.

Immediately...
started taking him weekly grocery shopping with us at 3 days old. He's been to the mall and two family parties already.
He's 8 weeks and has gone out to restarants with us 4 times. He's learinng polite table manners

We took DS to a diner for the first time at a week old. I was hesitant but we kept him pretty much covered and no one came near him. We started taking him to stores after that, again keeping him covered.

Ds just turned a month old on Friday. So far he has been to Sunrise Mall a few times during the weekday, a chinese restaurant, the grocery store, Costco, post office. I walk a lot witg him and sometimes our travels bring him to these places.
Dh is an elementary school teacher. He travels to the city on the LIRR, MTA bus and subway. He has germs aplenty on him that i dont even want to think about.
