Anybody deliver at 37 weeks?

My Dr. suggested a scheduled c-section at 37 weeks because the cord is around her neck and she is already 6.8 pds. I am nervous though. Any btdt moms have babies at 37 weeks? Were they okay? Did they have to go to nicu?

My dd was born at 37 weeks due to pre eclampsia. She was 7.7lbs and completely cooked and healthy

I was 37w 5d when DS was born. He was 6 lbs 10 oz. & had mild jaundice (he didn't need the lights), but other than that was fine. He didn't go into the nicu at all.

DD was 37.3 she was 6 lbs 7 oz, via C section, because i was in labor.. her scheduled C wasnt for another 10 days.

she was perfect

I was 37 weeks and delivered a healthy 6 lb 15 oz dd...the only issue she had was BFing..she really didn't get a good latch, but other than that, she's in the 90th %ile now! I had preeclampsia...

I gave birth at 37 weeks to a fully cooked and completely healthy baby!

my son was born at 36w and a few days because i had pre eclampsia.

he did end up in NICU b/c of the medication i was on for the pre eclampsia, he was healthy otherwise!

DD was born at 36.6 weeks and weighed 6.13. She went straight to NICU because technically she was considered a premie. She was a c-section and did have some fluid in her lugns and low sugar level so they had to put her on an IV for a day. It wasn't too serious and other than that she was perfect!

Both DDs were born at 36w6d. Both were 6lb3oz. No NICU stay and were healthy!

My DD was born at exactly 37 weeks by c-section because my BP spiked and I ended up preeclampsic and they had to get her out. She turned out to be 9lbs and 5 ozs and was very healthy. No Nicu. 37 weeks is full term.

DS was born at 36.5. He was 5lb7oz. No NICU. Perfectly fine

My DDwas born at 37 weeks due to my blood pressure ..she was fine no nicu.....she was tiny...but my husband adi are not big people ..her weight was 5 10...... She is still tiny..but perfect

I had an emergency cs at 36 weeks. No steriod shot either of course due to emergency. She was actually huge...since she was a mth early, 7.8 lbs. Sounds like your baby is a great size too.

DD was perfectly fine. She did go to NICU for about 24 hrs due to me having a high fever and her grunting. She ingested fluid during the c/s so they put her in NICU and she was treated with abs and had an xray.

She was perfectly fine and still is to this day, 3 years old. Barely gets sick, just had her first REAL cold this week since she was born.

So dont worry! Everything will be ok!

37 wks in considered full-term so you shouldnt be worried
my oldest was born at 37wks, 6 days...he was totally fine!

I had DS at 37 weeks and he is perfectly healthy and weighed 8lbs 3oz

I had DS2 a couple of days past 37 weeks and he was 8.8lbs but he did have to go to the NICU but for reasons unrelated to his early arrival. I had a very fast delivery and he came out with my water so he aspirated some. I think you should be fine!

I had DD at 36 wks 5 days via c-section due to low amniotic fluid.
She was 7lbs 9 oz at birth and didn't need to go into NICU at all.

DS was born at 37 weeks 3 days. He was a whopping 9 lbs 7 oz. Needless to say, there was no NICU stay.

2 out of my 3 babies were born at 37 weeks - went into labor on my own. Both over 7lbs and well. One was in NICU but had hypoglcemia (I had GD with that pregnancy). My 1st had the cord wrapped around his neck and was fine but it was scary. My 2nd had a true cord knot which I hear is reallly bad but he was fine. Cord stuff gets me nervous so I'd go with your dr's recommendation.

I did. 7 pounds 11 ounces of absolutely healthy baby boy. They had him in the nursery for the first 4 hours because I had gestational diabetes. His sugar levels when born were a little wonky so they just wanted to observe him. Regrettably his first food was formula, but he went right on the boob and haven't gone back.

I delivered my first at 37 weeks, I had my cerclage taken out at 36 and she wanted out, The only reason she went into NICU is because the cord wrapped around her neck during delivery~ They had to do some routine tests but she was a healthy 7.14...

my twins were born at 37 weeks. They were both close to 6 pounds each. They were ONLY in the NICU because I devloped a fever during labor.

I went in to labor and my 2nd son was born at exactly 37 weeks. He was 8 lbs 9 oz, 21 inches long and completely healthy. No NICU. Good Luck

My twins were born 37w2d. J was 6lbs K was 4.12. Both were fully cooked and neither spent any time in the NICU. We all went home together
