Team Green mama here and I'm really struggling!
This is my 2nd pregnancy and we found out with our DS. Leading up till now I really wanted to be surprised, I wanted to experience both. I want to hear "It's a..." and feel that joy with my DH. But now, I have a sono next week (I'll be 17 weeks) and i know the sono tech will ask if we want to know and I'm getting WEAK - I don't know if i'll be strong enough to say no.
how do you Team Green girls stay strong? I know this is what I want but I need some of your strength!

don't do it!! It will be SO worth the wait to deliver your baby and hear "IT'S A....!!!!!"
plus think of all the months of guessing and having family members take bets on the gender. It gives more build up and excitement
we're team green. 28weeks and going strong!

Stay strong!!! I wavered around the 20 week mark, but now with about a week to go I am so excited that we waited. I think that imagining that moment where DH tells me if we have a son or a daughter is what keeps me going!

Stay strong!!! Its one of the only surprises left in life so might as well try it once. I'll be 26 weeks on Saturday and still going strong too! As much as I'd love to know what we are having, the suspense of not knowing is making this experience amazing. This is our first child, so who knows we may decide to find out with the next. Another way to look at it is, these 9 months you are getting all the attention and questions about how you are feeling. You're the one mainly feeling the baby and feel that special connection with your baby. When you finally deliver, your husband will have that moment where he is able to share his joy with everyone and bust through those delivery room doors and yell out "ITS A.... ". I cannot wait for my DH to have that moment.

Honestly we were team with my and it was the BEST surprise ever!!! I mean to hear those words in the delivery room AND for my husband to be able to go out to the waiting room and say them to everyone else... nothing like it.
Also i've been on the other end where my SIL was team green and waiting to hear those words in the waiting room was great.
We are team with this one too and i cannot wait for that surprise in less than 4 weeks.
Stay strong!!! It really is TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!

Re: Team Green mama here and I'm really struggling!
I am team also. I am 21 weeks and like you, we found out for #1. We were sooo tempted to find out at the 20 week sono, but we held strong and stayed I found the 1st half of the pregnancy was hard, but I am finding the 2nd half to be exciting. Everyone is throwing out their guesses- including DH and I. We are starting to prepare the nursery picking out neutral themes. At first I was kind of like "we will be suprised when the sono tech tells us" but nwo I am realizing that there will be nothing like that moment in the delivery room when the dr says "it's a ...." Like the pp said, it will be such a special moment shared between you and DH and for him to spread the word to those waiting. Stay strong!!! Go Team !!!!!

Re: Team Green mama here and I'm really struggling!
It really is such a wonderful surprise! We are team green with our 2nd pregnancy and my daughter was born 6.5 years ago! It would make things so much easier to just know, but there is nothing like hearing the doctor make the announcement in the delivery room!
Once you mention it to the sono tech they will be very professional! So don't worry about that. The techs I've had were always very respectful of the decision, never brought it up again, and were also careful not to let us see any parts we weren't supposed to be seeing! Just mention it when they begin, even if they don't ask!

ITA. We did't find out the first time and won't find out again. I'm definitely curious, but it's so worth the wait.

Re: Team Green mama here and I'm really struggling!
I am 17 weeks and team as well, and definitely know where you're coming from. This will be my first child, and part of me is dying to know the gender. DH is so strongly against finding out that that is what keeps me going. We have a sono this Saturday morning, and I told DH that we need to tell the tech right away that we don't want to know.
To motivate myself to stay team , I just keep reminding myself of how not knowing will be great motivation for pushing in L&D to find out, and also how much anticipation there will be from our families and friends. In all honesty, I have always been so much more excited when my friends haven't found out the gender in advance. I just keep reminding myself of that.

Re: Team Green mama here and I'm really struggling!
You can do it!! I never thought I'd be able to do it. We also found out with our first but decided not to find out this time. At first, it was just a passing idea: 'hey, maybe we shouldn't find out this time', and now at almost 24 weeks, we've stuck to it. I also love that it annoys my friends and family more than anything . But hearing everyones guesses is fun and I know it will be an amazing moment to hear those words: "It's a _____!"
Hang in there!

THIS
Every time you get 'weak' think of the moment your DH gets to ANNOUNCE it to the world! Our entire pregnancies are about the mom's - this is their shining moment!

Re: Team Green mama here and I'm really struggling!
I'm not preggo now but with my oldest we were team green....not by choice. Everytime we had a sonogram baby wasn't cooperating so I had no choice but to be team green but it was exciting when they said "its a girl" at delivery. I knew for my other children, but I will be team green for the next pregnancy since it will also be my last.
