How much do you spend on gifts for classmates?
DD has been invited to a ton of parties in the past month and I am sure there are more to come, what is the average you spend on gifts for kids that your kids go to school with and or not family or even close, close friends? I have been averaging between $20 and $25 per party - is that the norm?

I spend about $20, especially for children that we do not know outside of school. I got a lot of great gifts on the recent Target clearance so that really helps. I am stocked up for a while for possible birthday invites.

I spend about $20 on gifts to classmates. I do stock up during the Target sale but I still give toys where I have spent $20 so the actual gift should have cost more.
For example this weekend we are giving a full size La La Loopsy Suzette La Sweet doll. I spent $20 on it but it should have cost $34. Kid gets a nice gift, I look generous, and my budget is happy.

Same here. We just gave some enormous Pokemon play set thing....I paid $15 but it was originally $50. That kid made out!!

DS just had a birthday party this weekend and I would say each kid spent between $15 to $30. We have some parties coming up for them and I plan to spend about $20.

As my kids are still in pre-school they are both invited to every party. I do try to stock up on the Target sales and until recently had a stock-pile of toys in my basement.
My budgetary rule is $15-20 per DC per party, so btwn $30-40 when my kids go to a party.

$20-$25...Unless I get something thats "worth" that but on sale...
If a toy usually goes for $22.99 and I get it for $15.99 on sale, I'm not looking around to find something else to make up the difference
