Breakfast ideas- 1 year old
DS is doing great with lunch and dinner with table food. I have been reluctant to start table food for breakfast cause he likes baby oatmeal and it has so many of the nutrients he needs that I haven't moved away from it yet. But I know I can't keep giving him baby cereal forever, so what kinds of things do you give DC for breakfast and in particular things that daycare will give him in the morning as he is being dropped off at 7a.m.

Re: Breakfast ideas- 1 year old
I am still giving the baby oatmeal at 13 months, mixed with some fruit....it is just so full of nutrients I don't plan on stopping just yet. I also give a finger food though--waffles (DD loves the nutrigrain blueberry ones), pancakes, minibagels.)

My twins alternate between french toast, mini pancakes and whole grain blueberry waffles.

Re: Breakfast ideas- 1 year old
My granddaughter is almost 15 mos. My daughter still gives her baby oatmeal mixed with fruit & cinnamon for breakfast most days. She will also have scrambled egg or hard boiled egg along with the oatmeal. She loves blueberries and has a handful of them almost every morning too. I've made her french toast and she seemed to love it also.

Re: Breakfast ideas- 1 year old
pancakes, scrambled eggs, bowl of mixed fruits (blueberries, cantelope are my son's fav), adult oatmeal (i use that to put his tri-vi-sol and then mix in some cinnamon to disguise the taste), sometimes a bagel with cream cheese....
