When the overprotective German shepherd is actually nice to have around:
I had to have surgery on Friday night, and I'm thinking my furbaby here can smell that I'm a wounded member of the pack. Instead of her normally hyperactive self, she has been so calm and sweet. She has also been my shadow and needs to be next to me at all times. It's hard to explain, even when I'm just laying around on the couch, she needs to be right at my feet like my protector when she's usually all about DH. And her sweetness has been off the charts.
It's nice. A dog's love knows no bounds

This! My dog was my shadow when I miscarried. It's like she knew I needed extra love. They are truly amazing. Feel better soon!
