Scared of fireworks
Our neighbors were setting off fireworks for the Giants win & my poor puppy was petrified
I had the puppy bowl up super loud and was trying to distract her with treats & doing her obedience practice. It worked for a little bit but she was still scared & kept whining. And this morning she seemed really freaked out about being left alone.
Does anyone have any tricks they use ?? I want to make her feel safe without making a big deal because if I coddle her it'll just get worse. Would ignoring her make her more scared ?? I already fear 4th of July is gonna be a nightmare

Re: Scared of fireworks
we had to get medication for our dog during fourth of July its hard just let them try to find a safe space for themselves for whatever reason our dog would hide in our closet so we always make sure we would open the door so he could go in its so sad and my heart breaks for him.

Re: Scared of fireworks
Thanks ! She sat by us or was under the table.
She's been sort of whiney & needy for the past few days so I'm hoping she's not traumatized and this will get better
Hopefully this doesn't happen again till at least 4th of July. They shot fireworks on NYE & Superbowl !!!
