Placenta Previa
Hi Everyone,
I’m new to this board and need some advise! I’m about 17w3d pregnant and have Placenta Previa (which is completely covering my cervix) I’m on pelvic rest and no heavy lifting(Dr. orders). I’m getting really anxious that the placenta might not move. My Dr. keeps telling me that I still have time for it to move… Has anyone had/have Placenta Pevia and did it move for you??? I feel like I want to be prepared if this doesn’t resolve its self…
Any personal experiences will be great to here, thank you!

Re: Placenta Previa
I had full placenta previa with both my DD and DS#2....
With DD it did move and eventually (pretty much at 9 months) became a low lying placenta...I was a repeat c-section anyhow because of my 1st DS.....I did have quite a few bleeding scares, but she was born healthy at 39 weeks ...
With DS #2, it pretty much same thing, but again since I was a scheduled c-section I just had to be cautious w/ lifting etc...Also, no internal exams and also had some bleeding scares when I overdid it....
You do have a lot of time for things to change

Re: Placenta Previa
I found out at 9w, and the Dr. said it hasn’t budged since then. What I’m afraid of is the bleeding, if it happens I’m on a blood thinner (Lovenox). I just really hope that doesn’t cause more problems as well.
Thank you everyone!

Re: Placenta Previa
I had it with my first. found it at 16 weeks. at 20 weeks, it hadnt moved and i was put on pelvic rest. they were going to check it again at 28 weeks, but i begged to go at 25-26 weeks because i was scheduled for my babymoon and really wanted off pelvic rest for vacation, and was terrified to travel if i still had it. (dr said it would be ok, but i wasnt comfortable traveling with it). At the 25-26 week appointment, i found it had moved. I never had any bleeding, and the rest of the pregnancy was very easy, and my labor and delivery were textbook.
i did not have PP with my second pregnancy.

Re: Placenta Previa
I haven't had any bleeding and I’m knocking on wood i don't. I get a little anxious for every sono waiting for the Dr. to say it moved...lol I'm hoping it does.
And it really don’t help when the Dr. says the baby is sitting low as well.
