Summer School?
Does anyone know when they post the jobs? I have never taught summer school before but now that we bought a house we need the money. I work in Nassau but live in Suffolk so I would prefer working in a Suffolk school. Do I apply through Eastern Suffolk Boces? Is it even possible to get a job if you do not work in the district? Thanks!

My district has 2 summer schools and they already put out the internal listings last month.I was shocked by how early they sent it out. Usually it seems like April is when you see the posting.
Check olas. They always put summer school openings.

I teach at a district program through BOCES. they already sent out applications to people who worked in the past but my district doesn't make a decision about summer school until march or may.

I would contact BOCES. I got hired through BOCES last summer for a district that I did not teach in. It was great because it actually led to a teaching job. Good Luck!

I worked through WSBOCES. I see them listing on OLAS for summer school. (not sure when they will)
