If you have 2+ kids that go to full time daycare, (5 days, FT) with no help from parents/aunts/sisters/brothers
If it isn't too personal to answer:
what % of just your income (not your and your significant others combined) goes to pay the childcare bill?
I apologize if its too personal.

I only have one DD but if/when we have another it would be a little less than 60%!
But the way I look at it, is it will only be for about 2 years, b/c DD will be in kindergarten by then. So we would just have to get through it. It wouldn't benefit me in the long run to quit my job.

Re: If you have 2+ kids that go to full time daycare, (5 days, FT) with no help from parents/aunts/sisters/brothers
if you do it on my salary, its about 41% of my yearly salary i have one who goes to someones house m-f and my 2 stepsons go to aftercare through our school for 2.5 hours a day. we get no child support from their mom so its all out of our pockets. its about 29% if you did it from DH's salary. if you did it combined its 17%'ish
DH's sons are in school and the cost still hasnt gone down for care. if we had to do both morning and evening through the school, for the 2 kids it'd be about $700 a month!

Re: If you have 2+ kids that go to full time daycare, (5 days, FT) with no help from parents/aunts/sisters/brothers
I work part time (30 hours) but have full time childcare.
I have a full time nanny for our baby and my 3yo attends full time preschool. About 35% of my salary (not including bonus) goes to childcare.
Once both kids attend preschool, it should be more like 25% of my salary.

About 20% of our combined household income goes to FT daycare of our two boys. That's approximately 40% of my income.
ETA This is our take home pay not gross.

My DCs are not in daycare, but I recently looked into it as an option.
Based on my last salary when I was FTWM, with three DCs in daycare, the cost was 72% of my take home pay.

I'm only having one kid because I can't justify paying for 2.... it's too expensive and I can't afford NOT to work.
For 2, it would be about 40% of our take home pay.

Around 60% of take home, it is a lot but being in sales there are other benefits not including take home that i get out og my job. (car, insurance, gas, etc)
