10 mo old suddenly waking in middle of night to BF

DS has slept thru the night since she was 6wks old. She has always slept until around 6 or 7am, woke up to BF and then went back to sleep for a couple more hours.

Suddenly the last week or so, she has woken up at 3 and 4 am screaming and can only be calmed down by feeding.

She is eating plenty of solids. Anyone else have experience with this?

Maybe a growth spurt. My 12 month old still nurses 1-2 times a night most nights.

Definitely could be teething. We just went through this with my DS who is also 10 months. It didn't last very long, maybe about a week? Then we noticed his top middle tooth had popped through. Good luck!

DS1 started doing this at that age. It was when his top teeth were coming in. Mostly bothered him at night.

Once the teeth start breaking through you'll have to try CIO. For now she's probably is some pain. Maybe some Motrin or a teething tablet could help Chat Icon

I also noticed that my son would wake to bf more during milestones - such as right before he learned to crawl, walk and talk... maybe you're about to have a walker on your hands?

She has been standing up a lot, I think it's coming soon.
