Moms who run with a jogging stroller...

Do you let your DC have any toys in the stroller when you run? DD usually has a toy and a sippy cup whenever she's in the stroller and I want to start jogginb with her but I'm worried that maybe she would hurt herself when I'm jogging. Also, do you jog on the sidewalk or in the street?

I let DD have a sippy cup, books, toys, sometimes my cell phone if she is dozing off and I want her to stay awake Chat Icon I run in my neighborhood, and I usually run in the street if I am on a side street.

When i use the jogging stroller, i don't give them anything... because my kids are throwers and i can't be bothered picking things up every 2 mins. I either run in the road in my neighborhood, or on the boardwalk (sunken meadow).

Depends on the day. Sometimes they are content and will just sit other days I have to give them toys, usually something I know they LOVE and won't throw. I also give them a sippy cup and/or snack cup but I use the sippy cup straps that velcro so they can't throw them.

I usually run on a quiet street street that runs along the preserve by my house or i run in the preserve.

yes-usually. DD likes to bring a doll and DS likes to bring a car or stuffed animal. i even hide an extra one or two on the bottom in case they get antsy. i always bring water and a snack for when we get to the 1/2 way point and turn around for home. i run on streets usually back/side streets that have little traffic and most of the busy roads i run have a sidewald to use.

My boys bring drinks, snacks and a toy or book. They're almost 3 and 5 so are beyond the throwing stage. I run on the sidewalk or street.
