maiden name as middle name..
Anyone considering using their maiden name as the baby's middle name?

My DH actually came up w/the idea over the weekend to use my maiden name as a 1st or middle name (it could work as either). I love the idea and was very touched by his thoughtfulness.

Mine wouldn't work, but if it did and it fit the first name we chose, I don't see why I wouldn't consider/use it.

We did not. My sister and I both had my mom's maiden name for a middle name.

My friend used her maiden name as her son's first name!
Helped that it is Jackson. 
If I were to use my maiden name as DS's middle name, it would just look like he has two last names... or a really weird middle name. Which is fine... but I'd rather give him two first names.

My friend used her maiden name as a middle name her sons name is Jack Allen. And i wanted to use my maiden name as a middle name but I didnt no clue why LOL my maiden name is Carey so it could have worked for my girl or boy.

See....I wouldnt because it would sound like we hyphenated our last names instead of having them seperated.
Family and friends know my maiden name and I think they would just think we merged our last names together

I'm Not but I know my husbands family does that or did. I think my husbands middle name is actually someones maiden name, not his moms though. And his dad had his mothers maiden name
