Baby Food (not homemade)
What are some good/yummy baby foods that your LO's seem to enjoy? Some just seem not so appetizing...I gave DD Gerber chicken in a jar yesterday and I actually felt bad giving it to her, it didn't seem too good.

Re: Baby Food (not homemade)
I know you said no homemade...btu I did make my DS purees until he was e ating so much I couldnt keep up (which was at like 6 months)
Then I gave him earth's best fruits and veggies.
But with the meat the canned just was so gross to me. So what I did was i made only one puree it was steamed ground turkey then I pureed it with a lil sweet potato to give it a puree consistenct then took and earth's best veggie and mixed it in.
I made a ton of the turkey puree and froze it then used it with a store bought puree.
Again you know said no homemade but it might be worth doing just a meat.

i use earths best. the chicken and turkey dont seem so bad. sometimes they come mixed with fruit to make it better. DS seems to like them. i wont however give him the beef ones. they look and smell awful

Re: Baby Food (not homemade)
Earth's best did taste the best - I tasted them all. I only gave fruits/veggies - Jarred chicken and beef kind of creeped me out a bit. I'm sure its fine, but I don't understand how it can be OK for chicken or beef to not be refrigerated - too much processing for me.

The plum organic pouches are also great. DD wasn't able to eat it by herself until she was 2 but I squeezed it onto a spoon when sehe was younger.

Re: Baby Food (not homemade)
I just started using the Happy Baby Organic brand meals. They actually look like and smell like food. They are a little more expensive, but I just can't give her that meat in a jar.

Definitely Earth's Best for the meats! The Gerber ones grossed me out! I also tried the Beechnut too and their meats seemed much more natural than the Gerber.

I either make my own or use Earth's Best for meats.
