I am an Architect and it is definitely possible, but there are many variables...Go to www.dawnhousemovers.com.....That is my father's company. He lifts houses and puts new foundations under them all day long.

Call me if you need any help. I am a vendor on here.

I live in a split and the previous owners dug out a basement. We are not on a slab though.

We used Dawn last summer when we lifted our house to put in a new foundation. They were AMAZING. I live in a tiny court with a very narrow street so I was very worried about how they'd maneuver the big trucks and I-beams down the street. I must say my neighbors are STILL commenting on how well Dawn did the job. Just last week one neighbor complained that the recycle guys have hit her sprinklers heads once a month but Dawn brought down 50' pieces of steel and left no damage! Plus their price was quite a bit less than their competition.
Good luck.
