Always drinking water...

So our Airedale puppy LOVES drinking water. He's ALWAYS drinking... he probably goes through gallons a day (It's not diabetes he's had all of his tests come back recently, the breeder informed us it's just an Airedale "thing")

So my issue is this... is it wrong to cut his water off after a certain time at night, say around 8pm? Kind of like parents do with kids when they're potty training them. If we let him drink until bedtime he needs to get up VERY early and we're going away in a few weeks and I don't want him getting up in the middle of the night while my brother is watching him. I feel sort of bad but his bladder just isn't developed enough yet to go for long periods of time and during the day, we're constantly refilling his bowl. And sure he drools about 20% of it all over my wood floors (Chat Icon oh the joys of puppy-hood) but he's definitely getting enough during the day.

If your vet has already ruled out any disease issues then it is perfectly fine to cut his water off a few hours before you go to bed. He'll be fine.
