what tea's are safe?
What is the scoop on teas? I’m reading no herbal teas or black tea. I usually drink a Lemon tea but on the packet I see it says “herbal” should I avoid this? And safe for my favorite Lemon Blueberry Passion Tea-it says herbal. I’m just so confused.
I made Mandarin orange but didn’t drink it-b/c I just saw on a site to avoid this kind of tea too?

My doctor never said anything about herbal teas and I have had a few cups. You just need to be careful with caffeine.

Everyone is going to have a different opinion, but my midwife said that they're fine. Peppermint tea is one of the few things that really helps w/nausea.

I've only heard no green tea, other than that I drink it all.

That's what I heard. I drink tea all the time. It's my saving grace when I am not feeling well (which has been all day lately ).

Some teas have caffeine, so you can have them, but in limited quantities. (green tea has very limited caffeine)
Herbal teas are not a general "no-no". It depends on the herb itself. Anything like lemon, orange, ginger is fine. Google the specific herb to see if there is anything written about it. I think i read something about raspberry tea potentially causing contrcations or something.

That's red raspberry leaf, which is totally different than a regular raspberry tea.

My dr said as long as you're not buying loose herbal tea from Chinatown, you're fine. All of the boxed, brand-name herbal teas are ok.
