BAD headaches...is this normal?
im only a couple weeks along and i have been getting VERY bad headaches. is this normal? i take tylenol every now and then but try to just sleep it off. is there anything else i can do?

When I get them I try to drink as much water as I possibly can. Sometimes it helps.

I got headaches at the end of my 1st trimester and into the second. If tylenol is not working contact your doc. There are meds that can be prescribed that are safe.

I would drink some water and call your OB if it hasn't gotten any better. Better to be safe and have that piece of mind.

I was told at least 64 oz a day (it's so hard for me) and if it's not enough, closer to 100 oz! (When I was BF with DD, I had to drink 150 oz a day -- I basically lived between the sink and the bathroom, not fun.) Dehydration could definitely be the cause.
Also if you went from drinking caffeine to cutting it out completely, you might be going through withdrawals. You can have one cup of caffeine a day, so I'd maybe get a coke or a cup of coffee (a tall, not a venti) and see if that helps. Caffeine is known to help headaches too and one cup a day is ok for both you and the baby. But definitely drink the water! Feel better!

OMG i stopped drinking my 2 cups of coffee every morning!!! i guess its from the coffee and not drinking enough water!! it makes sense now lol

I got really bad ones due to caffeine withdrawal, but they stopped after a few weeks.

Yes, I got them ALL the time especially during the first trimester... I get them every once in a while know, thank goodness, all I could do is take tylenol.. feel better!

I started getting headaches really bad in the beginning of the 2nd trimester. I was already drinking a gallon of water a day which did nothing. Tylenol helped a little but what really helped me was coffee. My doc said it was ok to have a cup a day. I don't drink it everyday just on the days where the headaches are really bad.

I had horrible headaches in the first trimester of both my pregnancies. A little bit of caffeine (like one glass of coke) helped a lot!

I did get them very early on (a few weeks) and then they subsided. Doc said perfectly ok to take regular Tylenol

This also happened to me in the beginning of my pregnancy! So sorry!!! Just take some Tyelenol and drink plenty of water! Eventually they go away!

Try putting a warm washcloth or something on your head.. sometimes that helps me.
