What dog food does everyone recommend?
We are picking up our new addition to the family on Monday. The breeder has him on chicken soup for the puppy's soul but I can only find it online.
What food does everyone recommend. I know years ago there were a lot of issues with 2 or 3 of brands and I went on pet smarts website and only recognized 3 brands.

I think Chicken Soup for Dogs has been recalled.
I have had my Golden on Nutro Max since he was a puppy. Since he is a large breed dog I gave him the Large Breed Puppy and now give him the Large Breed Adult.

Our dog has a wheat allergy so we use Wellness. We used to use Avoderm. I've heard good things about the TJ Natural as well as the Costco.

That is what I saw too, that is why I figured I would ask.
When we bring him to the vet I will see what they recommend I guess, too.

We have our Golden on Orijen. We have to get it from a specialty store though since Petco and PetSmart don't sell it.

The breeder recommended Eukanuba maintenance for Murphy when he was a puppy. I tried all different foods those first 6 months but came back to the Eukanuba and have fed him that for the last 9 years. I would always recommend it and feed it to any future dog I may have.

I love Di ck Van Patten brand food!!!! My dog loves it, and he poops less from it!!!

Blue Buffalo. He ate Wellness for the first few years, but he was never a voracious eater and only seemed to eat when he was starving. We switched to Blue Buffalo and he started cleaning his bowl every night.

Marty eats Performatrin. We get it at Pet Valu it is their higher end brand. He started on Blue Buffalo and never really loved to eat. With this he comes running!
