How much are you paying for day camp?
Our town recreation camp is not as cheap as I thought ($875 for 6 weeks) plus they only bus them to the pool 2-3 times a week. So that's out. A bunch of my friends kids go to rec camp in the town I grew up, and that would be $1100 for outside resident. It's only $450 if you're a resident, so it's crazy that I have to pay more then double, but that's the top option right now. The third option is the community center where I teach dance. I'm waiting to see how much they will charge me. It's normall over $6,000 so I have a feeling even with a discount that's going to be more then we're willing to spend. But that is definitely the best program and their swim instruction is top notch.
What are you paying for camp? Full day?

DS = Full day 9-3, five days a week including lunch for 6 weeks = $2,100. I am in NJ. They swim every day.
DD one day a week for 10 weeks gymnastics camp $170, two days a week her day care from 9:30 to 2:30 $145 per week for 4 weeks.
I am still looking for a swim class for her.

$1000 for DS. It's our school district camp/ summer school. It's full day, 6 weeks.
$375 for DD. Half day, 3 days a week for 6 weeks.

For nine weeks of day camp it looks like we are at $1750. Thats 4 different camps, one is six weeks the other three one week each. Only one includes transportation, lunch and runs until 5:00.
He will have swimming daily for 7 out of the 9 weeks.
We did the same last year and he loved it.

DD is going M-W-Fr 9-4 for 7 weeks. $2300 this includes hot lunch.

The going rate, without the bus, is $450 or so a week. That is full day, with lunch and swimming, tennis, etc. The cavet is many camps will not allow you to not use the bus. In that case, $6K is about right for the summer.

My kids do a summer recreation camp (with no swimming!). 9:15-3 p.m. for 6 weeks. No lunch! (I actually have to pick them up for that hour). $225 for both my kids. Can't beat the price if you can take the kids for lunch hour each day.

My one son is going to a camp runned by teachers in my district. They do sports, arts and crafts, reading.
It is 9-3. Im only doing 1 week, and it is $140. I think that is good.

DD will go to the town rec camp. 6 weeks of camp, 1 extra care week, plus after care (since camp is only until 3) and all the field trips is about $900. We have a sprinkler park they go to everyday, so they get wet, but no swimming pool.

1 is going to 8:30-2:00 town camp - $250/2 weeks
1 was going to 9-12 town camp - $275/6 weeks - but we are waitlisted for our school, so I think he will go to his daycare which will be ~$550 for 6 weeks.

2 boys half days 1pm-5:30pm
Have to pay bi-weekly $300.00
add $40.00 for the extra half hour of "after care"
So 680.00 a month
Cheapest camp I found by far and very clean and well staffed.
Field trips to adventureland, lazer kingdom...water play, carnival etc.
No food included

In my town there is a swim club and for M-F 12:30-4 it is $525. It is from June 25th to August 13th. It's not just the pool, they also do arts and crafts, music, playground.

9-3 and we pay 125 per week through the school. They do BBQ on fridays and provide snacks but we provide lunch all the other days.

I am waiting until next summer to give half a kidney. This year I will be doing the daycare camp program and some mini-camps. I went and my parents sacrificed a lot for it and now I feel that i should do the same for my kid, KWIM. I was shy and quiet yet I still loved camp.

My son's camp is $3,500 for 8 weeks without lunch. Lunch is a extra $300. My DD's camp is 1,200 for 8 weeks. She will go 3 times a week for 2 1/2 hours.

DD - 5 yo- 9-4 every day, 9-3 fridays, including bus and lunch, $1795
DS- 3 yo, 9:30-3, includes lunch, no bus, $1200.

Those are some great rates! In NYC day camp for 7 weeks is 5800 per child! I am going back to being a 10 month AP because it doesn't pay to send them to camp!

I figured I would answer my own question. I wound up going with out of resident at my home town camp- $1150 for full day 9-3:30 for 7 weeks.
