Dog pees when sleeping
My dog will pee in her sleep recently. Did any ones, dog ever do this? What could it be.

Maybe a UTI? Is your dog fixed? My pit isn't fixed and this always happens to her right before she goes into heat. She has no control over it.

yes she is fixed, my husband said it could be a uti. We just figured it out that she was having accidents and then he left to go to the baseball game.

Happens to us too. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy fix for us like a UTI. After seeing three different vets about it the final word was that she has bladder incontinence due to hormonal issues. I did a little research on it and it seems common in females that are spayed young. All three doctors suggested some medication called Prion. I did a bit of research on it and really was not comfortable putting her on it for the rest of her life. She was only a year when the problem first started. I've noticed that it happens in spurts like she'll do it for a few days everyday and then she won't do it again for months. I've also noticed that it happens more when she's taking a very deep nap during the day and right before bed. Very rarely does it happen overnight. We try to make sure she goes out as frequently as possible, but that doesn't always help. Hoping for your sake it's an easy fix!!

This was happening with my dog, along with a few other issues. It turns out that he's diabetic, they think he may also have a UTI. He's been on insulin and antibiotic for almost a week and hasn't had any night time accidents so far.

We took the dog to the vet she had some blood in her urine as well as white blood cells, so they gave her an antibiotic. We'll see if that works an go from there. Further testing could be $500. There is also a lump on the side of her neck. Right now she is wearing a doggie diaper which she is not happy about. She is an english setter and is the sweetest dog, but what scared me is she growled at the baby the other day which is not like her so she must not be feeling well.
