is swelling ever just swelling?
my bp has always been fine
but for weeks my feet are just swollen all day long..my wrists and fingers r too but not sure if it is from the awful carpal tunnel i have
docs say it is normal but i just feel so swollen lol...is it ever just that,just some extra fluid and no pre e that is coming?

I just read that it can be from heat and just general fluid retention.

i had terrible swelling. they would take my BP and blood test to check for Pre E but it was always negative. Ater many people continued to comment on my slelling, I asked my doc if she knew of any other tests and she suggested the 24 hour urine test. She said it would 100% confirm that my swellin was just swelling. Sure enough, it came back elevated and they took the babies the day after the results came back....so i think you can never be too safe and urge your Doc to do this test ....

My swelling was just swelling from 16 weeks and it was bad!!!! Bp was always fine. At 32 weeks they did a 24 hour urine to see If I had pre ecl and it came back negative. At 33 weeks 5 days my Bp went high..they took the babies the next day.

me too especially in the heat! I went from a 7.5 shoe to a 9!!! Forget about jewelry. I still can't get my wedding ring back on

So far for me it's just swelling- it's crazy how big my legs and feet got, its so uncomfortable. But BP is still good. Hopefully nothing develops.

With my DS my swelling was early signs of pre-e.
With my twins, my swelling was just swelling. Being on my feet chasing after a 2 year old day did a number on my poor ankles. But if I'd lay on my left side with my feet elevated above my heart and drink a lot of water it would always be better by the next morning.
