Moving Back to Commack and need Pediatrician

I am giving birth in September and need to pick a Pediatrician. Can anyone give me some suggestions and why. I want a place with a sick room, good hospital affiliation ect. People told me Commack Pediatrics and RBK. Any thoughts and suggestions ?

THANKS!!!

Re: Moving Back to Commack and need Pediatrician

I wouldn't recommend Commack Pediatric Partners in a million years. Their office is very disorganized, the front desk staff is very unprofessional and I have literally been stared at like they don't know what I'm talking about when I ask for records. Plus they have two peds who have VERY differing views on child care so depending on who you see at any given visit, you'll get different recommendations and advice. It was very frustrating. I'm not talking about little things - I mean like my 9 month old wasn't interested in table foods, one ped FREAKED out on me and wanted me to get her evaluated and the other one was like, no big deal, give it time.

I hope someone has a better recommendation for you Chat Icon

We use commack pediatric associates on commack road and couldnt be happier. My sister uses them for her DD and is very happy as well. They have 1 male dr and 3 female drs. We have seen them all and i like all the drs.

I've been happy with Commack Pediatric Partners. I saw a few negative things on the boards but my experience has been great.

Re: Moving Back to Commack and need Pediatrician

RBK has been around forever, they were my pediatricians growing up. I think they were good, never heard any complaints from my mom other than that they are really busy. But they have a lot of doctors so it's not too bad.

ETA: My brother was very sick when he was 6 months old and one of their doctors was able to diagnose him with a rare disease. So I think my mom became fond of them.

They have a sick room, BTW.

Same here and we have been with them for just about 6 years now.

RBK has been around FOREVER. I knew some people who went to them when I was growing up. My mom started with me there but I wasn't gaining any weight at a few months old. They told her not to worry about it. She went for a second opinion thinking something just wasn't right and it turned out that she wasn't producing enough milk and I was slowly starving Chat Icon Obviously she changed after that. Granted that was a LONG time ago, but I wouldn't bring my kids there!

I agree. I have had minimal problems. They have been receptive to my needs and even opened the office on a Sunday morning for my son who was diagnosed with Asthma. Immediate call backs within minutes.

We use Commack Pediatric Associates and have been VERY happy with them. Seen 1 doctor other than our regular one and had a great experience.
Always get a call back in a reasonable time frame too.

Stay away from Commack Pediatric Partners! Staff is a revolving door and extremely disorganized and office is going downhill!

I couldn't agree with you more!! I was with them for 6 yrs. I still to this day adore Dr. Hadjuk but I couldnt continue to be seen at an office where both Dr.'s were like night and day. Dr. Danzi couldn't be any more different than Hadjuk. In the 6 yrs I was there I have seen a revolving door of staff members an when I run into the former staff(2 main front desk girls) on the street they told me to pull my kids from the practice and that they had so many families leaving and complaining. Something just wasnt right and I felt it for awhile before I left.

It stinks because I had heard so many good things about them. When they switched offices it got even worse! Chat Icon They literally had me waiting in the office for an HOUR before the doctor bothered to call in sick - and she was the only one on staff that day so I had to go home. So unprofessional.
